Ugandan competitors responded positively offering to be part of a fundraising sprint for former champion Ponsiano Lwakataka.
Lwakataka also known as ‘Mafu Mafu’ is seeking to acquire a new rally car as he gets back into competitive racing.
“Everyone knows I was in need of a car that will help me compete well with all the top drivers. But am sure the car am bringing will equally strong like others,” says Lwakataka.
The two-time national champion has driven a Subaru Impreza N8 for several years. The car won him a number of rallies.
Lwakataka now has his eyes on a Subaru Impreza N12; owned by Jas Mangat.
Tanzania’s Tufail Amin will also take part in the fundraising event.
The sprint will move along with the season finale of the national motocross championship
