Kagombe, Mugyenzi excel at 2018 Seniors golf championship

The fourth edition of the Civil Aviation Authority  (CAA) sponsored Uganda Seniors Open golf championship successfully climaxed at the par 72 Uganda Golf Club, Kampala.

Edrae Kagombe and John Mugyenzi championed the ladies and men catergories respectively of the two day tourney in 36 holes.

Mugyenzi scored a total of 141 strokes nett and Kagombe had 144 strokes.

Matata Onyango was the 36 hole gross winner with 160 strokes in the men’s category.

Jenna Nasimolo toppled the women gross catergory  with 168 strokes.

Civil Aviation Authority is honoured to sponsor this tournament once again for the third year running. We have seen good value for money. The tournament always kick starts our celebrations for the aviation week. This will be our flagship event. We remain committed to the cause of supporting sports growth like we have done in netball and chess.
