Music star Kenzo to team up with El Hadji Diouf against FUFA President’s XI

Global music star Edrisa ‘Eddie Kenzo’ Musuuza will feature on the same team as two time African footballer of the year El Hadji Diouf during a charity game as the musician’s select team faces FUFA President’ XI at the Star Times Stadium, Lugogo in Kampala on Friday, 4th January 2019.

El Hadji Diouf, a Senegalese retired footballer who also played at English Premier League side Liverpool among others, is set to visit Uganda on invitation of Kenzo in collaboration with Wakiso Giants Football Club.

Upon this background, Kenzo’s select side will don the treasured Wakiso Giants kit for the game.

Some of the players expected to feature on Kenzo’s team include among others retired Uganda Cranes and active players as Brian Umony, Willy Kyambadde, Farouk Miya, Tonny Mawejje, David Obua, Geofrey ‘Baba’ Kizito, Yunus Sentamu, William Luwagga Kizito, a couple of Wakiso Giants players and the two men of the moment – Kenzo and El Hadji Diouf.

Former Uganda Cranes defender and current Wakiso Giants manager Ibrahim ‘Uchumi’ Kirya will be the head coach for Kenzo’s select.

FUFA President Moses Magogo, also a CAF Executive Committee member is another keen retired footballer, famous for his astute leadership abilities.

The FUFA President’s XI itself is a side blessed with former Uganda Cranes players led by the FUFA CEO Edgar Watson Suubi, Alex ‘Trezquet’ Isabirye, Edward Kalungi, Paul Mukatabala, Hassan ‘Figo Ow’emmamba’ Mubiru, Fred Tamale, Lawrence Kizito and Sadiq Wassa among others.

Besides featuring in the match, El Hadji Diouf will freely mingle and associate with the Ugandan football fraternity, network and socialize concerning the upcoming projects.

He will also grace Kenzo’s Airtel Uganda sponsored music show at Serena International Hotel as the Bet Award musician celebrates 10 years of music.

El Hadji Diouf currently lives in Dakar, Senegal and works as Government goodwill ambassador and adviser on sports to President Macky Sall.

He also runs his own sports newspaper business in Dakar, often operating his own gymnasium and making a metamorphosis to active politics.

He is happily married to Valerie Diouf with one off spring Kenza Diouf.

El Hadji Diouf and Eddie Kenzo are personal friends with big ambitions ahead of each other now that Kenzo has started a football academy, Big Talent Soccer Academy.
