Police FC coach Abdallah Mubiru was disappointed with his players’ failure to utilise the goal scoring opportunities after exiting the Stanbic Uganda Cup.

The Cops were eliminated by Express 4-1 in a penalty shootout after the two sides drew goalless in normal time at Mutesa II stadium, Wankulukuku.

“It’s very disappointing,” Mubiru told Kawowo Sports. “We had the chances to win the game in normal time but the boys were casual and wasted chances,” he added.

The visitors were dominant and should have won it before the shootout but Basani Saafi with the goalkeeper at his mercy after a mix up in the six yard area curled his effort wide.

Juma Balinya, Paul Willa and Johnson Odong also had chance put to waste.

Express’ realistic chance in the 90 minutes fell to Ibrahim Kayiwa whose effort was parried over the bar by Davis Mutebi.
