The National MX championship heads to Garuga this weekend as the season hits the mid-way point.

The weekend race will be the fourth round of the seven-round MX calendar.

The Juniors class will have Ashiraf Mbabazi targeting maximum points to place him in good stead for the class title.

Mbabazi has won two of the previous three rounds. Jonathan Katende and Liam Ntale continue to breathe down his neck in the category.

William Blick Jnr and Miguel Katende will be up for what is expected to be a heated contest in the MX50 class.

Blick took the advantage in the previous event as he secured maximum points that widened his lead from two points to 26 points ahead of Katende who suffered misfortunes in the same race.

Pascal Kasozi will also be in line for the MX50 fight .

Gift Sebuguzi is expected to have a calm event since his rival Alon Orland is absent.

With a 15points difference between the two, maximum points for Sebuguzi will put him on top of the MX65class.

The battle for the MX85 will go between Waleed Omar, Kylan Wekesa, Obote brothers among others.

Anyone of the trio will be assured of registering their first class win this season with Stav Orland away.

With another Orland (Aviv) missing in the MX125,  Fortune Sentamu, Wazir Omar with the return of Ali Omar Yasser from an injury will top the fight for maximum points.

Ismail Mukiibi will be out to maintain his MX2 class lead against Micheal Ntailo, Joseph Kyeyune, and others.

Maxime Van Pee is expected to headline the MX1 class with a fourth consecutive victory this season that will push his title bid.

Van Pee is currently 71 points ahead of Asaf Natan who will also be absent for the weekend race.
