Thailand based Muay Thai kickboxer Umar “The Pain” Semata, has been through the Pain, he has overcome the high tides and the hurricanes to reach the top and and all his patience has paid off.

He will on June 14 at the Kyadondo rugby ground take on Australian Rhys Karakyriacos in a vacant World Muay Thai lightweight title fight.

“I gone through the Pain to reach where I am and the sky for me is the limit,” Semata told Kawowo sports in an interview. “I grew up in the Ghetto and we go through alot of troubles growing up now I want to reach for the top. My aim is to become a world champion and to win the world title.”

Semata, will be a co-feature on the Rwenzori Boxing Gala that will have Joseph “Owakabi” Lubega defending his WBC international light heayweight title against Hany Atiyo, from Egypt as the Main Event.

“I am looking forward to winning this fight infront of my fans,” Semata said confidently. “I really don’t care how I will win this fight, but I have to do it with the five rounds that we will be battling.” 

 The Thai based Ugandan kickboxer goes into the fight with a record of 20 wins, 10 loses 3 draws and 5 KOs while his Australian challenger is 16 wins 3 loss and 1 draw.
