Mbogo 2-0 Nyange

Goalie Michael Majwega’s primary role in Mbogo’s set up against Nyange was to stop any goal bound shots from entering the net. Nobody including himself thought he would be on the score sheet by close of business at Nakivubo Stadium. Perhaps, Majwega did the extra-ordinary when he scored a decent goal from over 100 yards as Mbogo booked a second round berth against Nvubu on 12th August.

“I never expected to score a goal of that nature (from 100 yards), but when you enter the soccer field, anything is possible”, a smiling Majwega told Kawowo Sports as he was receiving the mandatory Ush 10,000, a gift staked for each goal scored in a bika match – thanks to Kyosimba Onanya Ceremonial Services.

Mbogo, whose second goal came out of a decent header off Skipper, Godfrey Sserubogo, now progress to face Nuvbu in the next round. The Second round kicks off on Saturday when Musu hosts Balangira at Nakivubo Stadium.
