Jonas Kansiime has won his first ever National Rally Championship (NRC) event after emerging victorious in the Source of the Nile Jinja Rally.

The Subaru N12 driver completed the 270 Km race in one hour, forty five minutes and twenty seconds.

Ronald Ssebuguzi in a Mitsubish Evo 9 came second just sixty seconds behind Kansiime while Wilbert Pole (1:57:50), Leila Mayanja (1:57:07) and Dr. Ashraf Ahmed (1:57:36) complete the top five respectively.

Pre-event favourite Duncan ‘Kikankane’ Mubiru plus veteran rally ace Wycliffe Bukenya were unable to complete the two day event after the duo damaged their shock absorbers in the last section.

The event was the second round on the NRC calendar and leaves Ssebuguzi top of the standings with 150 points followed by Jonas Kansiime with 140 while Duncan Mubiru sits third with 100 points.
