CAF U -17 Qualifiers:
Zambia 1 – 0 Uganda (Half Time):
Zambian youngster, Patson Daka’s well taken strike gives the hosts a slim 1 – 0 half time lead over Uganda in a CAF U-17 qualifier being played at the Nkoloma Stadium in Lusaka.
The Cubs’ defense line marshaled by Bashir Asiku, Samuel Kato (central defense) and Alex Komakech and Diego Katumba (full backs) has looked suspect for long spells of the game.
Uganda best chance fell to Charles Ssebutinde, who missed just a touch to the ball with the goalie Daniel Sikanyika and his backline all beaten.
Team skipper Daka, Enock Mwepu and Prosper Chiluya have put up a respectable display for the Young Zambians nicknamed ‘Young Chipolopolo’.
There are 45 more minutes to be played for the second half, before the Kampala return leg in a fortnight.
The winner will qualify for the U-17 Africa championships in Niger.
