Probably the worst news to the over 37 Million pairs of ear pinnars for Ugandan football fanatics is the growing doubt of the most on form striker, Yunus Sentamu.
He is still feeling pain and finds difficulties to sprint. We expect Yunus (Sentamu) to train with the rest of the players during Thursday’s session as the doctors continue to monitor his progress
Fred ‘Malibu’Katende, Uganda Cranes’ official mouth piece told Kawowo Sports.
The AS Vita Striker, one of the three scorers in the Cranes 3 – 0 home victory last Sunday over Ethiopia suffered a setback when he suffered a sprained ankle during Tuesday’s afternoon session at the Namboole Stadium outside training ground.
Sentamu could not even step down on the ground moments after the injury but marked a remarkable recovery path as he managed to trot aside in Wednesday’s session.
Should Sentamu, who was highly expected to play an integral part in Saturday’s fixture fail to recover in a record time, Micho will look to the remaining crop available.
The goal scoring onus will thus lie on Gor Mahia’s Daniel Sserunkuma, URA’s Robert Ssentongo and Lweza’s Michael Sserumaga as the suitable candidates to partner the undisputable number one striker, Geofrey Massa.
Ghana Black Stars’ team is expected in the early morning hours of Friday.
