Rwenshama 3–2 URA FC
Uganda Premier League debutant team, Rwenshama defeated URA F.C 3 – 2 at the Mityana Ssaza grounds to clinch their first victory of the season.
In the 10 matches prior to the Tuesday game, Rwenshama F.C had not won even a single game but ironically, their moment of the truth has lived.
At such a trying moment when the team had lost 8 and drawn 2 of the last 10 fixtures, head coach, Shafik Bisaso threw in the towel.
But care taker tactician, David Bbaale reveled in the moment with a winning start.
On fire pacy striker, Julius Malingumu shocked the tax collectors with the opening strike of the game just after 19 minutes before Ezekiel Sseninde added the second 3 minutes after the half hour mark off Rogers Aloro’s free kick.
Frank Kalanda gave the visitors some ray of hope as URA pulled a goal back in the 34th minute.
However, Geofrey Ssimbwa had other ideas altogether with Rwenshama’s third goal a minute to the half time break.
Emmanuel Engama’s well struck penalty on 69 minutes assured the Mityana fans a tense climax to the game.
Rwenshama thus records their first victory of the season.
The loss for URA piles more pressure on the under fire coach, Alex Isabirye, who has had a contrasting season – full of inconsistent results.

From the first 10 minutes of the game, it was evident URA, who did not play the league top scorer, Robert Ssentongo and Ali Feni were struggling and it is not shocking that they lost the game.
