UGANDA PREMIER LEAGUE (WEEK 13):

Express F.C 1-2 Bul F.C:

A second half brace from Bul F.C’s winger, Milton Kalisa drowned Express F.C at their own Mutesa II stadium backyard in a Uganda Premier League fixture played on Tuesday.

We now need to pick such results consistently to keep on track of an eminent league triumph

Kefa Kisala, Bul F.C head coach told Kawowo Sports after the game.

After a barren first half that the red Eagles dominated, the match came to life 13 minutes after restart when Kalisa outpaced left back, Ivan Sserukuma to put the Jinja based outfit ahead.

The former Jinja Municipal player was at it again 20 minutes from time with a powerful header, following a great delivery from Yusuf Kinene.

Kinene had moments earlier replaced team skipper, Patrick ‘Crespo’ Asiku.

Shortly after the visitor’s second strike, the home fans pelted stones towards the direction of the second assistant referee, Lydia Nantabbo Wanyama, whom they accused of biased officiating in earlier incident before the visitor’s goal.

It took the intervention of the entire Express F.C team to convince the rowdy fans to calm down and play resumed after a 10 minute break.

Express F.C picked their consolation at the depth as the match was about to climax.

Right back, Shafiki Bakaki powerfully headed a Willy Kavuma freekick with a minute to full time before another 1 additional minute was played to full time.

Still Express F.C fans threw stones in the direction of match referees, Bul F.C goal keeper, Franco Oringa and the journalists who had attended the match as everyone ran for dear life.

Express F.C head coach, Wasswa Bbosa attributed his team’s loss to poor refereeing.

Surely, we would not have lost this game if the referees had not been biased.

An angry Bbosa said after the match.
