Former Commonwealth Super featherweight champion Justin Juuko, is a friend to both Floyd “Money” Mayweather and Manny “Pac Man” Pacquiao, in fact the Ugandan fighter has fought with Mayweather and lost however he has been training in the same gym with the Philippines fighter in California.

Mayweather takes on Pacquiao May 2 at the MGM Grand, Las Vegas, Nevada in a fight dubbed the “Fight of the Century”. It is being promoted by Mayweather promotions in conjunction with Top Rank Promotions Incorporated.

I recall the 60 rounds I did with Manny here at the Wild Card gym with his trainer Freddie Roach when he was going to fight Erik Morales he had a lot of energy. But what I have seen is that he is in good spirits and is looking in good shape going into this major fight.

Juuko, is a trainer at the Wild Card gym that is run by Hall of Famer Freddie Roach, who is his good friend and once former trainer for the Ugandan fighter.

Juuko in 1999 lost to Mayweather were he knocked him out in the ninth round in a 12 round WBC World Super featherweight title fight in Las Vegas, Nevada.

In his assessment to the “Super Fight” the Ugandan prize fight had this to say in a online interview.

“You can’t have the same speed at 38 as at 25 so they have aged at the same rate and for me the fight is more about Floyd will he have the legs to avoid Manny”s wild wind punching for 12 rounds as the test is not for many its for Mayweather,” Juuko stated. “But he has too he believes in himself he [Mayweather] is the pound for pound best fighter in the world, but the Big Question? We will soon find out the answer on May 2.”

Mayweather is 38 years old and Pacquiao is 36 years old and they are both in the prime of their age. Mayweather is 47-0 (26 KOs) while Manny is 57-5 (38 KOs).
