Former national golf player Willy Deus Kitata, returned four over par 76 at the PGA Tour Wells Fargo Championship Pre-Qualifier at the Rocky River Golf, Concord, North Carolina on May 7.

Kitata, played along side several professionals and amateurs in the tournament as he seeks to improve his game in the United States of America. It was his first professional tournament he was playing in the USA which was won by American Joey Garber from Virginia, who shot 8 under par 64.

“It’s not hard to make it on the tour,” Kitata said in a message. “All I have to do is to work on my game more and play quiet a number of tournaments.”

The cut of the tournament was level par 72 on the par 72 18 hole course in North Carolina, USA. A total of 142 golfers took part in the tournament that attracted professionals from all over USA and amateurs golfers too.

Kitata is the Uganda Sports Press Association Male Golfer of the Year 2014 and he is also the Uganda Open winner 2014.
