Gor Mahia and Khartoum kept their unbeaten run at the 2015 CECAFA Kagame Cup after the one all draw on Friday in Dar es Salaam.
Gor were without Ugandan, Godfrey Walusimbi who sat out this one because of an ankle injury, Innocent Wafula took his place.
And in the first ten minutes Gor Mahia writhed to match the comfortable Khartoum. Boniface Olouch committed a school boy mistake when the ball slipped out of his grip.
Defenders Musa Mohamed and Harun Shakava didn’t react fast ether. Osumaila Baba made no mistake from inside the six yard box.
Khartoum’s backline knew who to tame if they were to stop Gor Mahia, and they did a good job to keep Michael Olunga out.
On the other end Gor were sitting on a time bomb, Amin Ibrahim Elmani was denied by the post after Atif Khalid El Tayeb’s ground cross from the right.
Erik Ocheing leveled matters for Gor Mahia off a Khalid Aucho well weighted pass from left with three minutes to half time.
Khalid El Tayeb had the chance to give Khartoum the lead again six minutes into the second half. The winger tore Gor Mahia’s defense apart, and with only Olouch to beat he ballooned his kick after 52 minutes.
Khartoum’s coach, Kwesi Appiah introduced Momenic Abui for Murwan Salih Abdalla, and later Gor Mahia’s old boy Anthony Akumu for Mohamed Hassan Al Eltayed.
With Gor Mahia’s defense failing to stabilize, Ahmed Adam Mahmoud whipped in another cross from the left, Khartoum failed to exploit it.
Frank Natall responded by bringing on Collins ‘Gatuso’ Okoth for Ali Hassan Abondo in a way to solidify Gor’s midfield.

The five-time champions only occupying third because of their better record in the goal difference column which is positive two compared to KMKM’s negative 2.
