Henry Kalungi’s club Charlotte Independence suffered a 1-0 defeat at the hands of visiting Bethlehem Steel FC at Ramblewood Stadium on Friday.
Uganda Cranes’ Kalungi started in defense and featured for the whole match as his outfit conceded in 11th minute when Cory Burke managed to score a goal off a ball that was served over the wall.
The Independence had a few opportunities early in the first half, including one from Joel Johnson, who carried the ball into the box but failed to finish.
Independence goalkeeper John Berner was at it in the 30th minute when made a diving stop, earning himself the Wells Fargo Save of the Game.

Independence were coming off a 2-2 draw with Toronto a game that was completed earlier due to heavy rains.
