Uganda Cranes midfield gem Musa Mudde has finally completed a move to Tanzanian Vodacom champions Simba SC. This was confirmed by the club’s Head of Communication Ezekiel Kamwaga asserting that the Ugandan is set to replace deceased Mafisango who perished in a road accident last month. This ends rumours that were linking the midfield gem back to his former Ugandan army side Simba SC.
The maestro who has spent two and half years with Kenyan side Sofapaka FC arrived in Dar es Salam at the end of last week before signing a two year contract with the Tanzanian club. He has been a darling at the Kenyan club but both parties mutually agreed not to enter into a new contract after the end of the previous one. Mudde’s last appearance in the Kenyan Premier League side was a 2-1 win over AFC Leopards in the climax of the first round of the KPL and was stretchered off with 53 minutes played after colliding with an opponent. The injury saw him miss Uganda’s two World Cup qualifiers against Angola and Senegal but made a substitute appearance against Congo Brazzavilled in a 2013 AFCON qualifier. He joins international team mate Emma Okwi at the club that is in case the latter fails to go proffesional in Europe. Another Ugandan Hakim Ssekumba replaced Mudde at Sofapaka FC.
