Former SC Villa coach appointed at Lesotho club

Former Sports Club Villa Jogoo head coach Jose Antonio Flores has been appointed as the new head coach for Sandawana Football Club, a top club in Lesotho.

Flores takes over the mantle after agreeing a one-year deal with the club management.

He will work with French coach Eric Sarno as assistant.

Flores had been among the 52 coaches who had applied for the Rwanda head coach job but was unsuccessful.

His assistant Sarno is glad to return to Africa wheere he has worked before. The Frenchman posted on his personal Facebook page;

Excited about the potential opportunity to return to Africa and work as an assistant with coach Antonio Flores in Lesotho, Southern Africa for the remainder of the season.

It’s great sharing the passion of Africa football with others, and I’m blessed to have this opportunity.

Sandawana plays in the Lesotho Vodacom Lesotho Premier league.

They play Matlama FC on 4th March 2017 as the league gets underway.
