FUFA has confirmed the second friendly for Uganda Cranes ahead of the Cape Verde clash in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualification match.

Uganda Cranes will play Ethiopia in Addis Ababa on the 3rd June 2017 before traveling to Senegal where they will play the home side on 6th June 2017 in Dakar.

Head coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic told the media on Wednesday that the Ethiopia and Senegal friendlies will further help in sharpening the players ahead of the Cape Verde encounter.

It is good that we have got this second build up match.

It will further help us monitor the fitness levels of the players than risk throwing them straight into the Cape Verde match.

After the West Nile regional tour, Micho and the Uganda Cranes will regroup in May.

Non residential training is expected to start on 20th May 2017 especially for the foreign-based players who will be around.

The team will then enter residential camp three days later before flying to Addis Ababa.

The match against Cape Verde will take place between 1oth and 11th June 2017.
