Vipers coach Jorge Miguel Duarte Da Costa has urged his charges to win their last league game for the fans.

The Venoms play host to The Saints on Saturday at the St. Mary’s stadium, four days after losing to SC Villa in Masaka.

With first and second positions on the log now out of reach, the two-time champions also have a chance to seal third spot with victory regardless of the outcome between SC Villa and fourth placed URA who face off a day earlier.

“We won’t be taking them lightly, far from it. I know they are equally pumped up but we shall take the game to them,” Miguel told the club website.

It’s important we give our fans the best; a deserved win and exciting game. We both must enjoy the game at home because it’s the only way we can reward them for their honesty.

The Venoms, third on the log welcome midfielder Keziron Kizito from injury but Moses Waiswa remains out.

Meanwhile, The Saints, who lost 3-2 away to Onduparaka on Tuesday, come into the game safe and with nothing to lose.

Former Vipers’ forward Julius Malingumu will be the man to lead the line for Moses Basena and hope with a point to prove against his former bosses.

The Bombo side are 9th on the log and would target to become the first top tier side to win at Kitende.
