Vipers SC have reportedly completed the signing of SC Villa captain Taddeo Lwanga.

Lwanga, whose contract at the record league champions expired at the end of the previous campaign has reportedly signed a two year contract.

The ‘Football Engineer’ as dubbed by the Jogoo faithful has spent two seasons at Villa Park after joining from SC Villa rivals, Express FC.

The box to box midfield gem has also been a subject of interest from back to back league champions KCCA but negotiations over a potential deal didn’t materialize.

The Venoms are expected to let defensive midfielder Siraje Sentamu leave and have also lost Keziron Kizito to Kenya’s AFC Leopards although no official announcement has been made by the club.

Vipers ended the previous campaign without a trophy after losing to Paidha Black Angels in the FUFA Uganda Cup quarter finals and finished the league in third position.

Meanwhile, the club is also reportedly in search of a typical centre forward with Alfred Leku frustrated for lack of playing time.
