Kirinya-Jinja Senior Secondary School Football Club named a new technical team ahead of the 2017-18 Uganda Premier League season.
Former Lweza coach Hamza Kalanzi and Ahmed Kongola take over as head coach and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) respectively for the next two years.
Hassan Zungu is the new assistant coach while Abbey ‘Capello’ Bogere Kikomeko (who been head coach) is the new Director of Youth Football at the club.
Former Uganda Cranes exciting midfielder Hakim ‘Boda Boda’ Magumba is maintained as the club Director of Football.
Kalanzi is delighted to join a club he referred to as ‘one of the best’ in the country;

I can not wait to get started on the work tasks before me.
This is one football team with great potential and joining this big club is a dream come true.
Kongola who has been appointed CEO previously worked with URA in 2012 and Victoria University in 2013 both as a team psychologist then Saints FC in 2014-2015 season. He has been in the same position at Water FC.
Kongola takes over from Samuel Mugabi who has been elevated to a role of the 2nd Club Vice President.
I am happy joining Kirinya-Jinja S.S, one of the best clubs in Ugandan football.
I will work hard to professionalization this club, ensure proper accountability, build team structures, emphasize discipline in players and the winning mentality.
The club has great potential of becoming the best in Ugandan football and joining this club is a dream come true.

Kirinya-Jinja S.S was promoted to the Premier League at the end of the 2015-16 season alongside Onduparaka and Proline.
They finished 10th on a 16 log team in their debut season.
Light pre-season training is already under way at the club’s training ground within the premises of the Copa Schools Champions in Jinja.
