Ghana Black Stars managed two away goals against Burkina Faso to force a 2-2 draw of the first leg of the CHAN qualifying match played at the Stade du 4 Aout in Ouagadougou on Saturday.
Sadick Adams put the local Black Stars the lead from the penalty spot after Abdoulaye Zongo stopped a Winful Cobbinah free kick with the hand.
Sylla Mohammed restored parity for Burkina Faso with just seven minutes to the mandatory half time break.
Once again, Ghana took the lead through Gideon Waja thanks to Cobbinah’s assist.
The home side fought to the death with Iliase Sawadogo’s minute strike as the two sides shared the spoils in a 4 goal thriller.
Ghana will host Burkina Faso in Kumasi at the Kumasi stadium a week’s time.
The winner on aggregate will qualify for the final tournament to be staged in Kenya.
