- Masavu 0-3 SC Villa
Three second half strikes by visiting Sports Club Villa Jogoo ensured maximum points for Wasswa Bbosa and Paul Mutakabala’s coached side to their 9th victory of the season.
The Jogoos outsmarted league debutants Masavu 3-0 at the lake side Fisheries Training Institute playground on Tuesday.
SC Villa had been unfortunate not to take the lead in the first stanza of the game.
Allan Kyambadde missed a free header and Martin Kizza hit the post during the action packed opening 45 minutes.
Masavu hard tackling midfielder Sulaiman Muttah was the only booked on 28 minutes.
Jogoos’ skipper Bernard Muwanga out-jumped the Masavu backline to nod home the opener on 68 minutes off Kizza’s teasing corner on the right.
Enterprising midfielder Abel Eturude who had a field day at office scored the most enticing goal on the day.
Having received the ball from the center of the playing field, Eturude dribbled past 5 Masavu players before curling home the ball beyond the reach of the advancing Ali Kiggundu.
Second half substitute Yubu Bogere wrapped up the day with yet another headed goal.
