Two Ugandan players, Musa Mudde and Robert Omunuk, now based in Kenya have joined the Ugandan Army side, Simba for the East African Military Games.
Kenya Premier League midfielder Mudde, featuring for Mombasa side, Bandari and left back Omunuk who plays for Sony Sugar played in Simba sports club’s last trial game against Soana at the Nelson Mandela Stadium, Namboole on Friday.
The two will be joined by experienced guns in Aloysius Lubega, Robert Nakyenalire, Peter Omoyidde, Paul Ddumba and Martin Mugabi.
Simba Sports Club had been in a residential training camp at Namboole Sports Hotel.
They played several friendly matches winning three matches against Police (2-1), The Saints (2-0), Maroons (1-0), drawing goal-less with Soana before losing 2-1 with Kampala City Council F.C.
Uganda opens up this year’s games with a football match against Burundi.
