KCC Pips SC Victoria University to win FUFA Super Cup

FUFA Super Cup (Friday):

KCC 1 (4) – 1 (3) Victoria University

FUFA Super league defending Champions, Kampala City Council (K.C.C) kick started the 2013/14 football season in a brilliant style with an emphatic victory over the 2013 Uganda Cup winners, Sports Club Victoria University in the FUFA Super Cup match played at Nakivubo Stadium on Friday.

The Jenifer Musisi boys code named ‘The Kasasiro boys’ took an early lead in the 21 st minute through live wire striker, Herman Wasswa after a clever through ball from former SC Villa play maker, Steven Bengo.

Bengo, who showed glimpses of his old self, had a quick one-two inter-play with man of the match, William Wadri before releasing Wasswa, who signed from the arch rivals, Villa last season, to blast the ball in the far corner of Benjamin Ochan in Sports Club Victoria University’s goal posts.

Victoria University replied through a Dennis Iguma decent header on the 57th minute mark to push the game into the FIFA post match penalties.

Majwega the Impact Player:

Cranes talisman, left winger Brian Majwega started the game on the bench.
